Another month, and another set of fantastic gigs with the ultimate Party Band Hampshire done and dusted. This time of year is always fantastically busy with weddings, meaning we get to help couple after couple celebrate their big day - and have a great time ourselves in the process! Here's some of our July highlights.
To kickstart the month, we travelled down to Larmer Tree Gardens - which in addition to holding the yearly Larmer Tree Music Festival, also features a beautiful wedding venue. Tom Jones and Bill Bailey were some of this years festival headliners, so in a roundabout way, we opened for them! (Don't argue with my logic, please)
We also got to play a couple of outdoor weddings (under sheltered marquees), in lovely weather. It must always be such a relief when that happens! First up was The Old Vicarage Country House in Lyndhurst, then the slightly less glamorous sounding Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living. Don't let that fool you though, as Tommy and Jess had organised a beautiful festival wedding theme and a great day for everyone. Check it out:
For our journey along the M4 to Stanton Manor in Chippenham we threw in several new songs (classics and newbies alike!) to keep us on our toes. We're always trying to keep our set fresh, and this year has really seen the band go from strength to strength in that regard - something we're very proud of. Looking back at a set list from 4 years ago (when the band began) recently was quite a shock to see how much we've evolved.
Well, that's all for now. August is looking to be a great one for us, so, if you happen to read this before seeing us, please come and say hello!
